When Star Wars was first released I was one of the few people who actually planned to see it opening day…first show. I went to stand in line at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, Ca. and get tickets with my then 3 year old daughter. The line was not long as the frenzy had not started yet. I had seen the trailer and knew this movie would be special…oddly others laughed at the trailer and were not so impressed.
Cut to 20 years later and I am standing in line for the newest Star Wars movie with my 3 year old grand daughter, whose Mother is the daughter I stood in line with 20 years ago. Boy is that symmetry or what. Even knowing I wasn’t the only one to experience this feeling it was still remarkable. How often do we get to share the same rare experience with not only our child but also our grand-kids. Thank you George Lucas for 3 history making films and 3 so so films….and most of all the thrill of the experience.
By the way George…why did you take a kick ass and take no prisoners Padme’ and turn her into such a whiny little coward that she couldn’t even stick around to fight for her own children. She may have loved him but she still would have destroyed him to protect her children…any Mother would. I forgave you for Howard the Duck George but I may never forgive you for what you did with Padme’.
