Four Rooms (1995)

Twelve outrageous guests. Four scandalous requests. And one lone bellhop.

Twelve outrageous guests. Four scandalous requests. And one lone bellhop.

Let me say right off the bat that this film is rated R for pervasive strong language, sexuality and some drug use, this is not a film for kids under 17. Four Rooms is a comedy about a lone bellboy in a hotel on New Years Eve and the antics of the guests as he tries to help them. There are four segments to this movie, each one written and directed by someone different. The director’s are Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, Allison Anders, and Alexandre Rockwell. Tim Roth has the lead role of the bellboy and his performance is outstanding. The film also stars Antonio Banderas,  Madonna and Marisa Tomei. Four Rooms is an omage to Jerry Lewis’s The Bellboy from 1960 but on a more adult level. This is one of my favorite films and it always makes me laugh but it is for 17 years and up. Try Four Rooms you will like it. A little known fact about this movie is that the segment ” The Misbehavers” inspired Rodriguez and Banderas to make Spy Kids (2001). ☆☆☆☆
